Having joined IDC in November 2014, Mr. Wale Knox Babalola's role includes IDC standard research and consulting activities around telecommunications markets in the MEA region. This includes the creation of thought leadership reports on various topics related to the telecommunications industry, regular industry analysis and implementation of market models to effectively describe relationships between key indicators of telecommunications market segments, developing rapport with key industry stakeholders to monitor strategic developments and market trends in the telecom industry related to IDC’s standard research and consulting activities, attending press and other public conferences related to telecommunications markets, attending vendor briefings, and public speaking engagements (research/sales presentations).

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Wale worked at Zee Telecom, a distributor of communication devices to major players in the UAE, where he developed and managed the company's ecommerce business. He also worked as a data research executive at the Middle East's largest publishing house, ITP Publishing.

Mr. Wale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer and information technology — with a specialization in networks infrastructure design and administration — from the American University in Dubai, a sister school of the American Intercontinental University in Georgia, USA.
