Jeronimo Piña serves as Software and Cloud Solutions Research Manager for IDC Latin America. Prior to this, he has worked for 14 years as an Analyst and Market Intelligence Manager for national and international companies in various IT areas such as networks, servers, storage, enterprise software and IT services.
Prior to joining IDC, he served as Senior Analyst at IBM Mexico, where coordinated intelligence projects focused in the areas of competition, market analysis and client insights.
In addition to his vast experience in Market Intelligence and Strategic Planning, he worked for 8 years as Marketing Manager for companies such as SAP Latin America and J.D.Edwards in Mexico, where he managed the positioning and demand generation strategies and plans for training and consulting services of business applications such as ERP, CRM, SCM, and more.
Jeronimo Piña has a degree in Computer Science from Unidad Profesional Interdisciplinaria de Ingeniería, Ciencias Sociales y Administrativas (UPIICSA) IPN, Mexico and has diplomas in areas of specialization in Strategic Marketing, Market Research and Social Media, from Universidad de las Americas, ITAM and Universidad Iberomaericana, respectively, in Mexico.
