Associate Research Director, European Security

Dominic Trott is an Associate Research Director within IDC’s Western European Enterprise Infrastructure Software and Services (EISS) group. Within EISS, Trott manages IDC’s Western European security research team. He is also responsible for  managing the European Security Strategies continuous intelligence service (CIS). This CIS represents IDC’s coverage of the Western European security market across software, services and appliances. Trott is a member of IDC’s research practices for privacy & data security, mobility and blockchain, where he explores the security implications and use cases.

Trott is an expert in the European security market and is experienced in presenting key themes, emerging trends and customer concerns to a wide range of audiences. His analysis and opinions are widely sought on a variety of topics. These include security software, managed security services, the CISO agenda and the impact of data privacy and security regulations.
