Marianne Daquila

Research Manager, Cognitive Systems

Marianne D'Aquila is a Research Manager of Cognitive Systems for IDC’s Customer Insights and Analysis Group. She is responsible for developing research for the new Worldwide Semiannual Cognitive Systems Spending Guide.

Marianne brings over 10 years of vertical market research experience to IDC after holding senior research analyst positions from major firms such as Gartner and AMR Research.  Prior to joining IDC's Customer Insight and Advisory organization, she was responsible for developing market spend models, market sizing, forecasting, benchmarking and statistical models for a range of technologies and industries.  She has developed quantitative databases and has authored cross industry reports specific to vertical industry software and supply chain management. She also brings strong engineering and product management skills from her previous experience at IBM and Raytheon.   


Ms. D'Aquila graduated with her MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  She received her Bachelor of Engineering degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Marianne's international education was completed in Japan, including coursework on Japan in the new world economy.
