Deepak Mohan

Research Director, Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service

Deepak Mohan is a Research Director within IDC's Storage and Infrastructure research group. In this role, he provides detailed analyses and insights on public cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) storage and compute services, and trends affecting this market. Deepak also contributes to the IaaS market sizing publications, cloud infrastructure research, and cloud related custom consulting projects for clients.

Prior to joining IDC, Deepak has held product management, sales and engineering roles across Rackspace, Amazon Web Services, Vobile and Hewlett Packard. He brings with him over a decade of engineering and business experience in the technology industry. He has also engaged on digital innovation related projects with multiple organizations – including the MIT Centre for Information Systems Research, WGBH, and Crimson Logic (Singapore).

Deepak holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and an MBA from the National University of Singapore. He was also a System Design and Management Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Management from MIT.
