Chayse Gorton

Chayse Gorton is a market analyst with IDC’s Asia/Pacific Telecommunications Group. Based in New Zealand, he is responsible for primary analysis and research focusing on the device market, related technology trends, market forecasts, and predictions. As part of the New Zealand telecommunications team, Chayse produces quarterly trackers centered on the smartphone and tablet markets, writing reports on research produced within the regional research group and contributing to various consulting projects.

Before joining the ICT industry Chayse qualified as a chef and worked for various restaurants throughout New Zealand. In his final year at the University of Waikato, he attained a university role as a macroeconomics tutor.

Chayse completed a master of management studies with a first major in economics at the University of Waikato. He also has a bachelor of management degree with a double major in finance and economics from the same university.
