Kar Leong Tew

Research Manager

Kar Leong is a research manager with IDC Asia/Pacific's DecisionScapes Practice Group. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the delivery of strategic/custom advisory projects across Asia/Pacific. Kar Leong coordinates and collaborates with local, regional, and worldwide research teams to produce custom research and create special reports. The projects are delivered directly to enterprises in both IT supplier and tech buyer communities.

Kar Leong has 10 years of experience, focusing on research, development, and innovation in scientific and enterprise domains. From 2005 to 2011, Kar Leong was with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research in which he developed proof of concepts and produced research publications on bioinformatics and data mining. Subsequently, Kar Leong became a senior researcher with SAP Asia Pte. Ltd and helped create the next growth business of SAP. Currently, Kar Leong is listed as coinventor of five patents (two granted) and coauthor of 10 peer-reviewed papers published in scientific conferences.

Kar Leong has a computer science degree from the University of Exeter. In addition, Kar Leong is a trained Lego Serious Play facilitator.
