Alex Yuen

Assoc. Market Analyst, Client Devices & IPDS (ANZ)

Alex is an associate market analyst in IDC’s imaging, printing, and document solutions (IPDS) team. Based in New Zealand, Alex is responsible for primary analysis and research focused on sizing and forecasting the printing consumables market of New Zealand and Australia, spotting technology trends, and engaging with vendors and providers in the industry.

Alex’s previous experience includes being elected and serving as the Treasurer of the Auckland University Students Association (AUSA) – a 125-year-old organisation, which represents over 20,000 students. At AUSA, Alex was responsible for all aspects of financial management of an incorporated charity with an annual turnover of over NZ$1.6 million and ended his term leading the Association to its first surplus in over 15 years. Alex also co-founded and managed the Negative Collective, which specialises in developing and delivering celluloid film photographic services.

Alex graduated from the University of Auckland with a bachelor of commerce (Honours) with First Class Honours in Economics, following a bachelor of commerce and bachelor of arts conjoint majoring in Economics, Finance, and History.
