Kazuko Ichikawa is a group manager of IDC Japan PC, Mobile & Client Solution research team, based in Tokyo. In this role, she focuses on personal computing market in Japan, managing market sizing and forecasting and covering PC market trend, vendors’ business and marketing strategy, and competitive landscape of the Japan’s PC market.
Prior to joining IDC Japan, Ms. Ichikawa has 10 years of IT industry experience as a market/marketing researcher at Intel Japan/US and then Microsoft Japan, where she drove product marketing, corporate marketing, market sizing and forecasting efforts from the research perspectives. The markets she studied and analyzed included PC, tablet, phone, server and consumer electric appliances, and audience types included IT decision makers as well as consumer. Prior to working in the IT industry, she was with marketing research agencies, helping automobile companies, PC vendors, communication hardware/carrier companies with their global businesses and local marketing.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign studies from Nanzan University, Japan, and an MBA from Boston University.
