Sam Reynolds is a Market Analyst for IDC Taipei and is responsible for covering the PC gaming industry as well as tracking wearable devices. His research includes market sizings and analysis of the PC gaming industry throughout Asia/Pacific, in addition to tracking and forecasting sales of wearables in the region. He also provides insights and advisory services to a variety of firms, including component vendors and software companies, on how to best navigate and succeed in dynamic and challenging markets. He frequently appears on the BBC and Bloomberg to comment on issues impacting the gaming industry, and has been quoted in many publications including Singapore’s Straits Times and Fortune magazine.

Mr. Reynolds has five years of experience in the information technology industry in a wide variety of roles throughout North America and Asia. Before joining IDC, Sam was a technology journalist and has written for a number of influential publications, including China Economic Review in Shanghai, VR-Zone in Taipei, and Geek.com. He has also worked as a motherboard technical marketing specialist for Gigabyte Technology. Outside of the IT industry, Sam has worked for the political consulting firm Stockwell Day Connex in Vancouver.
