Petra Kacer

Senior Group Manager, Investment Research & Program Manager, PVWS

Petra Kacer has nearly 15 years of experience in technology research.  She is a Senior Group Manager, managing the Investment Research Services team. She is responsible for overseeing research, client experience and business development activities aimed at decision makers within the financial community focused on the TMT sector.  Her deeply experienced team supports the investment research program to provide key analyses and deliverables to decision makers.  Ms. Kacer also leads the competitive intelligence program, Private Vendor Watch Service & M&A Advisory platform, covering emerging companies.    

BACKGROUND

For nearly a decade prior to joining IDC, Ms. Kacer held several analyst positions at top Wall Street firms, including Morgan Stanley where she analyzed and invested in markets including but not limited to technology, retail, healthcare and energy.   She spent most of her time as a portfolio manager, specializing in risk management strategies.  She conducted qualitative and quantitative analyses and directly invested in markets including but not limited to technology, retail, healthcare and energy.  She was also responsible for due diligence during the IPO process.  Most recently, she was a Research Manager on the financial team at IDC
