Andrew Munton is director of consulting and custom research for IDC Health Insights and IDC Government Insights, where he works with IDC's global analyst team to deliver custom research and consulting services to IT vendor and end user clients in healthcare, life sciences, government, and the public sector that support a wide range of business and IT planning needs across the value chain.

BACKGROUND

Prior to joining IDC Insights, Mr. Munton was a consultant at Toffler Associates, the consulting firm founded by renowned futurists Alvin and Heidi Toffler, where his work focused on serving clients in the aerospace and defense, chemical, and intelligence industries in the areas of strategic planning, new market identification and assessment, competitive intelligence, and organizational development. He was also previously an executive recruiter focused on the placement of actuaries, and developed deep relationships with insurance companies, consulting firms, and technology vendors in the health and life insurance industry.

EDUCATION/INDUSTRY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Mr. Munton holds an M.B.A with a concentration in Global Management from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College, and a B.A. in Asian Studies from Bowdoin College, and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Taiwan.
