Mitch Betts, an award-winning journalist, has spent more than 33 years covering the social, legal, political, and management issues of information technology. He is the former executive editor of CIO magazine, where he conceived and edited the magazine's ground-breaking cover stories about digital transformation in corporate America. He also managed the magazine’s annual “State of the CIO” research program, which highlighted the challenges and opportunities facing CIOs.


Previously, Mitch was a reporter and editor at IT management publication Computerworld, where he rose through the ranks from Washington bureau chief to executive editor. He currently works as an independent journalist for Ampersand Reports and curates a digital magazine called "Business Think Tank." His interests include digital business, innovation, the C-suite, strategic foresight, and the future of business.
