Becky Diercks

Consulting Manager, Telecom Consulting

As a consulting manager, Becky Diercks manages projects with telecommunications service providers, mobile operators, cable companies and equipment vendors.  With a primary focus on telecommunications, she focuses on projects about SD-WAN and virtual networking, cloud communications and UC&C, wireless market models, enterprise messaging, and IoT, among others. She assists clients with business needs in the areas of forecasting, buyer behavior, competitive intelligence, marketing/sales effectiveness, IT investment cases and thought leadership.  She works closely with IDC's analyst teams to deliver these products to clients in a timely manner.

BACKGROUND:

Prior to IDC, Becky worked on the client side for many years.  At Hasbro, she worked in the Strategic Foresight Group, where she consulted with the Global Marketing and Business Teams to recommend strategic opportunities that drove long-term sustainable growth. At Bose Corporation, she created and managed a group responsible for market research, insights, competitive intelligence, and market size and share analytics for a product division.  Becky began her career at IDC as an analyst and researcher.  She then worked for many years at In-Stat, a boutique research firm acquired by NPD.  At In-Stat, she was Director of Telecom & Wireless research and then moved on to become Director of Custom Research and Consulting.

EDUCATION/INDUSTRY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • BBA in Marketing and Economics from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst
  • Former frequent speaker, presenter and moderator at Mobile/Wireless industry conferences, and often quoted in the press on telecom and mobile/wireless topics
