As Research Manager with IDC's Quantitative Research Group, Carolyn Johnson is responsible for delivering high-quality & actionable research used to make informed decisions about the internet and communications technology market. Ms. Johnson manages multiple global and domestic research projects across a variety of areas including core technology strategies, key industry topics, and innovation accelerators driving digital transformation including the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing, machine learning, augmented/virtual reality, and cognitive/artificial intelligence systems.
Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Johnson was responsible for managing marketing and editorial research across the IDG Enterprise brand portfolio, a trusted source of information for senior IT and line of business professionals within the technology sector. Her role draws on more than 20 years of media and market research experience in survey design, methodology, data quality and analysis.
