Abstract

This IDC Retail Insights Perspective provides a summary of the retail trends and technology investments that were made apparent at the annual National Retail Federation (NRF) "BIG Show" in January 2016. As retailers have fully accepted a new retail landscape, where the customer seeks convenience, choice, and experiences in all things, and the competitive landscape continues to be disrupted by the likes of HauteLook, Warby Parker, Uber, Under Armour (UA), and many others, retailers are fully embracing the need to transform how they go to market.
