U.S. Enterprise Communications Survey, 2016: Videoconferencing

Authors: Rich Costello, Amy Lind
Abstract

This IDC Survey provides a summary of the videoconferencing results of IDC's 2016 U.S. Enterprise Communications Survey, which was fielded in December 2015. This portion of the survey explores key videoconferencing issues including current and future business adoption and usage of the various types of videoconferencing solutions as well as usage of videoconferencing endpoints and interest in WebRTC.

"Videoconferencing adoption continues to gain momentum as more than 85% of respondents use or plan to use it within the next two years. This is a slight increase over the previous survey, suggesting that businesses remain as positive as before, if not more so, about deploying videoconferencing solutions. It is also in line with expanding interest by organizations looking to leverage video in more collaborative ways to engage users and drive improvements in bottom-line results," says Richard Costello, senior research analyst, Enterprise Communications Infrastructure.
