Data Integration and Integrity End-User Survey Results: Alternatives, Deployment, and Data Intelligence
This IDC Survey provides a summary of analysis performed on the results from a survey fielded in November 2017 to 300 data integration and integrity software end users.
"Survey results indicate that the percentage of on-premises software being used in data integration and integrity solutions is in a rapid decline, being replaced by capabilities delivered in integration platform as a service (iPaaS) and open source software," says Stewart Bond, director of Data Integration and Integrity research at IDC. "Survey results also validate the 80:20 split the industry has long claimed about the percentage of time data professionals spend searching and preparing data compared with time spent performing data analysis, including uncovering where and how much time is being wasted on inefficient and ineffective data activities."
