Composable Infrastructure Is About IT Efficiency and Business Agility

Author: Ashish Nadkarni
Group Vice President, Infrastructure Platforms and Technologies

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses about composable infrastructure (aka composable/disaggregated infrastructure), an emerging category of datacenter infrastructure that seeks to (dis)aggregate compute, storage, and networking fabric resources into shared resource pools that can be available for on-demand allocation (i.e., "composable"). This emerging category of infrastructure seeks to optimize resources, lower operational costs, and create greater business agility. It will usher in an era of efficient and agile IT, specifically for businesses that are seeking to embrace and/or accelerate DX initiatives.
