Abstract

This IDC Perspective is intended to help CIOs and technology executives make the case for transforming their technology environment by leveraging a DX technology capability framework. In the digital economy, where speed and flexibility are of the essence, siloed organizations are unable to participate effectively. An industrial approach, driven by DX technology capabilities, is needed. This approach will allow organizations to collaborate, share information, provide much-needed experiential engagement, develop information value, and acquire the ability to evolve business models rapidly.

"CEOs, CIOs, and technology executives must recognize that the new barriers to entry in the digital economy can be addressed by DX technology capabilities," says Serge Findling, vice president of Research with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP).
