Analyzing the Körber Acquisition of HighJump

By: Victoria BrownResearch Manager, Global Supply Chain Execution, John SantagateResearch Director, Service Robots

Abstract

This IDC Perspective highlights Körber AG's acquisition of HighJump. Supply chain technology provider, HighJump, was recently acquired by Körber AG. Along with this acquisition, HighJump not only gained a parent company excited to invest in its future but a full portfolio of sister companies that will help each other challenge the status quo and diversify its geographic reach.

According to Victoria Brown, senior research analyst, IDC Retail Insights, "Identifying technology providers actively realigning their strategy in the market helps manufacturers and retailers stay relevant, and it ensures continued alignment with industry shifts and fluctuations. Expanding the breadth and depth of its portfolio within the supply chain realm, whether internally or through relationships with sister companies, will help HighJump and its customers stay competitive and well versed in market best practices, which will in turn increase its relevance and value to its user base as a whole."
