This IDC study presents IDC's spending forecast and historical sizing for the worldwide business analytics services market by key IT service categories ranging from 2012 and extending through 2021. A range of forecast assumptions are factored in. This study does not contain vendor-specific revenue, market shares, or vendor profiles.
"As is the case in 2017, cognitive computing and machine learning–based artificial intelligence will continue to be the most sought-after business analytic services segments of interest for the customers in 2018," said Ali Zaidi, research director, IT Consulting and Systems Integration Services.
"We will continue to see a need for more industry-specific solutions supported by higher-end analytics. For example, risk, fraud, and regulatory analytics in banking and insurance, payer/provider analytics in healthcare and financial planning, and analysis in finance," said Alison Close, senior research analyst, Finance and Accounting BPO, BPaaS, and Analytics Services program.
