Abstract

This IDC study provides a high-level view of quarterly market metrics including subscribers and revenue for consumer landline voice, wireless, fixed broadband, and video services for the leading U.S. communications service providers (CSPs) in each segment. More details on landline voice, fixed broadband, video, and wireless subscribers and revenue can be accessed through IDC's United States Consumer Multiplay and Broadband Services, Multiscreen Video, and Mobile Operator Services research programs.

"Despite ongoing subscriber erosion in landline voice and video services, consumer communications services revenue across the four multiplay pillars of voice, data, video, and mobility remained flat for the third quarter of 2017. U.S. consumer communications service providers generated $77.5 billion in revenue in 3Q17, an increase of 0.2% over 2Q17," said Amy Lind, research manager, IDC's Consumer Multiplay and Broadband Services.
