Abstract

This IDC study discusses digital transformation (DX) in federal governments and its influence on prioritizing use cases for investment as well as the mission and strategic priorities that are driving technology spending.

"Federal governments are digitally transforming to deliver efficient and effective services to constituents and better outcomes for constituents and agencies themselves. By understanding the strategic value of digital transformation, federal governments can deliver truly innovative services to residents, businesses, and visitors. Digital transformation of the government ecosystem must start with a common vision or mission, identify the core elements to delivering on that vision, and implement the critical use cases that will ensure mission success," said Adelaide O'Brien, research director, IDC Government Digital Transformation Strategies.
