This IDC Survey examines the overall state of cloud adoption in small and medium-sized business (SMB) markets across software as a service, infrastructure as a service, and platform as a service for key technologies relevant to most SMBs. Key findings show that attitudes toward cloud are quickly shifting across different technology categories, and IDC anticipates this trend to continue in 2020 to the extent that SMBs can continue to invest in cloud. The results are from IDC's May 2019 U.S. SMB Survey of 820 U.S. SMB companies.
Additional stratifications are also provided where relevant using advanced segmentation factors of digital transformation maturity and industry to fine-tune buyer profiles. The goal of this survey was to identify the overall attitude toward and execution of cloud previously as well as looking forward.
