Abstract

This IDC Perspective details how the digital transformation (DX) security model applies the fundamental disciplines of identity, trust, vulnerability, and threat management across IDC's DX platform of the intelligent core and data services, integration and orchestration services, development services, and engagement services (both internal and external).

Digital transformation is changing the way organizations conduct business. As organizations grapple with new IT architectures, it is important to remember to incorporate a security model that aligns with the new reality. This DX security model leverages traditional practices of risk assessment and cybersecurity controls to align with the more fluid, dynamic needs of DX.

"As companies ramp up their digital transformation efforts, it is crucial for security programs to accelerate accordingly," said Pete Lindstrom, VP of Security Strategies. "Relying on legacy security methods and manual practices cannot scale to suit organizational needs."
