Abstract

This IDC study characterizes the mobile game and handheld console game marketplace through 2023. The forecast includes four major regions: North America, Western Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the rest of the world (ROW). Smartphone and tablet installed bases, OSs and storefront dynamics, gamer ARPU, download totals, and a breakout of direct game spending and in-game ad revenue are included and examined in detail. Several market drivers and threats to future growth are also assessed.
