On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight looks at consumer sensitivity to different types of data collection. Types of data include news you watch/read/listen to, purchasing habits, phone numbers you call/text, religious views, political views, physical location over time, health and medical history, your friends/associates, work history, romantic relationship history, websites you have visited, birth date, social security number, online search history, and content of your emails/texts/conversations.

This IDC Survey Spotlight is based on IDC's ConsumerScape 360: Emerging Tech and Video Survey carried out in December 2017 among more than 5,000 U.S. consumers.
