Federal Government's Journey from Cloud First to Cloud Smart: Leveraging Security

Abstract

This IDC Perspective covers the key aspects of the OMB Cloud Smart policy and the actions that the OMB and other agencies will take over the coming months. To accelerate agency cloud adoption, the OMB Cloud Smart policy advises the evaluation of the stages of maturity of three key components: security, procurement, and workforce. This documents also provides highlights of the initiatives undertaken by the FBI Counterterrorism Division in deploying cloud to enable agents to work faster with more complete information.
