IDC Survey: Payer Investment Plans for IT Services, 2019

By: Jeff RivkinResearch Director, Payer IT Strategies

On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey discusses the payer investment plans for IT services in 2019. IDC's Healthcare Payer Services Survey 2018–2019 was conducted across 60 payers (51% provider owned, 49% traditional) in the United States and asked enterprise IT and business decision makers about their perception of the state of their technologies and plans for deployment. The survey also delved into the perceived challenges and opportunities that arise from the changing payer landscape.

"IT services and BPO services were unanimously increasing in payers as consumerism, analytics, and security were among the top concerns for payer organizations. The majority of the respondents indicated that they are developing infrastructure and multiple applications to address the changing landscape," stated Jeff Rivkin, research director, IDC Health Insights.

This IDC Survey presentation is most effective when reviewed in concert with IDC Market Glance: Payer, 4Q18 (IDC #US44513918, December 2018).
