On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight illustrates organizations' interests to repatriate public cloud applications to private clouds. The document contains data from IDC's Application Services Survey, which was completed in December 2018. IDC's Worldwide Application Lifecycle and Cloud Services practice conducted this survey to understand enterprise interests to repatriate applications that have moved to the public cloud and bring applications back to on (or near)-premise private clouds. The overall goal of the survey was to identify how organizations have been and will be approaching application life-cycle management today and in the future and how application service providers can align their offerings to address varying customer needs.

"Application services providers should understand how organizations are approaching their application life-cycle management and underlying strategies so that they are well positioned to support evolving customer needs and maintain deeper customer relationships in an increasingly competitive environment," explained Pete Marston, Worldwide Application Lifecycle and Cloud Services.
