Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses the results of a survey. In a survey of about 300 IT and line-of-business buyers, the two groups placed different value on attributes related to selection of a service supplier. Line-of-business buyers valued skills in emerging technologies most while IT buyers valued understanding the buyer's industry the most. It appears that buyers are looking for attributes that complement those that they have themselves.
