This IDC Market Perspective reflects the main takeaways from EY's 2019 Global Analyst Conference. EY recently updated researchers on its professional services and IT capabilities, with a two-day meeting in Boston in which IDC spoke with EY executives and clients. The firm gave details of the latest iteration of its wavespace innovation network and spoke about the evolution of its business consulting and IT services capabilities.
"EY is continuing to evolve as a technology-rich transformation services firm that takes a strongly people-centric view of business change," said Douglas Hayward, research director, Worldwide Digital Strategy and Agency Services, IDC. "The evolution of the wavespace program, for example, shows how EY is evolving to be more innovative in its client engagements. The firm is partly restricted, through its role as an auditor, in its choice of strategic technology partners, but its relationships with Microsoft and SAP and its strong capabilities in business consulting and change management mean it remains a key competitor in the market for transformation services to the largest corporations globally."
