IDC's 2019 Customer Datacenter Hardware Support Survey: Proactive Storage Support, HPE Takes Top Spot

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses IDC's recent survey of enterprise datacenter customers (500+ employees) on 25 attributes of hardware support services ranging from technical expertise of staff to proactive and predictive capabilities to support of legacy systems. This is the second time in four years IDC has run this survey, and IDC has noticed a need for more proactive support from enterprises.

IDC compared 7 different storage vendors and collected data from 1,200 companies globally to complete the study. The accompanying PowerPoint file highlights the survey results from the following question: "To what extent is your vendor proactive in its ability to provide support services?"
