This IDC Survey presentation includes data from IDC's Future of Work Survey, December 2019. It provides results and analysis from a survey of 305 respondents who are decision makers and/or influencers in their organization's work transformation initiatives. Respondents are from a broad range of industries and company sizes in the United States. The goal of the survey was to understand the specific initiatives and technologies deployed as well as organizational challenges, benefits, and impact. This presentation specifically looks at challenges and opportunities for improvement for organizations deploying future of work technology initiatives.
"While organizations strive to keep costs down and drive productivity short term, they will need to invest in upgrading technologies and internal process to drive longer-term competitive advantage," said Amy Loomis, research director, at IDC. "Without longer-term investment in digital transformation, organizations will continue to be challenged with attracting top talent seeking to work in more agile, flexible, and cross functional ways."
