IDC's 2019 Customer Datacenter Hardware Support Survey: Lenovo Results — Support Is Key in the TCO of a Server Environment

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight shows Lenovo's results on two key support elements: overall server support contract satisfaction and total cost of ownership (TCO), showing support is a key element when determining TCO for server environments.

IDC recently surveyed enterprise datacenter customers (500+ employees) on 25 attributes of support services ranging from technical expertise of staff to proactive and predictive capabilities to support of legacy systems. This is the second time in four years IDC has run this survey, and in this iteration, IDC compared 12 different vendors and collected data from 1,200 companies globally to complete the study.
