Chromebook Deployments Are Set to Increase Among U.S. Enterprises

By: Bryan BassettSenior Research Analyst, Enterprise Mobility

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes results of IDC's annual U.S. Enterprise Mobility Decision Maker Survey: Devices, conducted in June 2019 among 501 enterprise mobility decision makers in the United States. While Windows-based hardware still commands the lion's share of the U.S. enterprise desktop computing market, Chromebooks are beginning to find their way into enterprise environments. Chromebooks offer a number of benefits that enterprise IT decision makers can benefit from, such as cost reduction, ease of management, and increased security. As cloud-based computing continues to help grow and shape the future of work, Chromebooks are well positioned to help workers be more productive across an increasingly broad range of enterprise workflows.

This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights trends regarding the deployment, adoption, and purchase of Chromebooks among United States–based enterprises, as well as some of the benefits associated with Chromebook enterprise deployments.
