IDC's 2019 Customer Datacenter Hardware Support Survey: Do Support Services Matter When Enterprises Are Evaluating Who to Purchase IT Assets From?

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses IDC's recent survey of enterprise datacenter customers (500+ employees) on 25 attributes of support services ranging from technical expertise of staff to proactive and predictive capabilities to support of legacy systems. IDC also asked customers if support services make a difference in which vendor they choose; overwhelmingly, it does. This is the second time in four years that IDC has run this survey, and in this iteration, IDC compared 12 different vendors and collected data from 1,200 companies globally to complete the study.
