"As a result of continued subscriber erosion in consumer video, telco broadband, and landline voice, consumer fixed communications services subscriptions across the multiplay pillars of voice, data, and video declined slightly for the first quarter of 2019. U.S. consumer communications service providers lost nearly 1.5 million subscribers in 1Q19, a decline of 0.6% over 4Q18," said Amy Lind, research manager, IDC's Consumer Multiplay and Broadband Services.
