Abstract

This IDC study contains the IDC Energy Insights analyst team's outlook for the worldwide mining industry for 2021–2026. This outlook is presented through 10 predictions that make up, in IDC Energy Insights' view, the framework for IT and line-of-business (LOB) decision makers and influencers' technology-related initiatives for 2021.

"2021 will see cobwebs blown off mines in terms of care and maintenance, particularly as mining organizations recover from the COVID-19 pandemic's effects.
