Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes results from IDC's U.S. Enterprise Communications Survey, 2019 (October 2019). The respondents include a total of 800 CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, VPs of IT, line-of-business IT managers, applications development managers, and other network/IT decision-making roles. Although the organizations surveyed have headquarters mostly located in the United States, 42% of them also have locations in regions outside the United States, including Canada, Western Europe, Russia/Central Europe, Middle East/Africa, Asia/Pacific, and Latin America.

The sizes of the respondent organizations in this survey are as follows: <100 employees (20%), 100-999 employees (30%), 1,000-4,999 employees (25%), and 5,000+ employees (25%).

This Survey Spotlight highlights the increasing use of mobile phones as the primary device for employees for business communications.
