This IDC study examines the market shares of vendors in the worldwide smartwatch market in 2019.
"Smartwatches continue to find an audience, and while it may not move at the breakneck speed of smartphones years ago, it is nonetheless a growth market for the vendors that are in it," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's Wearables team. "Given the largely untapped market, there is still plenty of room for vendors to grow, and plenty of roadway to further develop and refine their devices. The key is to keep pushing the envelope continuously to find new and returning customers."
