Does a Higher Employee Experience (EX) Index Suggest Organizational Resilience?

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight examines how higher scores on an Employee Experience (EX) Index suggest organizational resilience during stressors like COVID-19. IDC interviewed more than 500 professionals, both IT and non-IT, across a range of roles and industries through the following survey: The Impact of Employer and Employee Engagement During an External Event Like COVID-19 (conducted from March 30 to April 7, 2020).

IDC found that employees who experienced higher levels of EX prior to and during the stressor were fivefold more likely to feel strongly engaged with the mission and purpose of the company suggesting greater organizational resilience.
