This IDC Survey Spotlight provides a perspective on the slowing momentum in the U.S. virtual pay TV or vMVPD (virtual multichannel programming distributor) market. As subscriber losses continue to be posted by some U.S. vMVPDs, recent survey results from IDC's U.S. Purchase and Subscription Index Survey, fielded in April 2020, show how the COVID-19 crisis is impacting consumer spending on streaming live TV services.
