By: Bryan BassettSenior Research Analyst, Enterprise Mobility

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes results of IDC's annual U.S. Enterprise Mobility Decision Maker Survey: Devices, conducted in June 2020 among 400 enterprise mobility decision makers in the United States.

COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact on businesses in the United States, perhaps none more apparent or challenging than the almost immediate need for millions of workers to move their day-to-day workflows out of their corporate office buildings and into their own homes. In recent weeks, working from home full time has become the new normal for many workers across the country. As organizations look to navigate the unique set of obstacles enabling a home-based remote workforce presents, many IT decision makers expect this trend to continue into the months to come. This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights trends regarding the likelihood of United States–based enterprise workers continuing to work from home in the wake of COVID-19.
