This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for smartwatch shipments in the United States.
"The first half of 2020 saw difficulties up and down the U.S. smartwatch market," points out Ramon T. Llamas, research director for IDC's Wearables program. "Challenges with production, distribution, and end-user interest depressed volumes during the pandemic, but new product announcements, lower prices, and accompanying services will help keep the market from shrinking drastically. We expect a rebound in 2021 and continued growth from there."
