This IDC Market Perspective summarizes three major battlegrounds that have emerged in the increasingly competitive market among UCaaS providers with Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams solutions. IDC provides recommendations for each category of UCaaS provider considering each SWOT in the context of the battlegrounds.

"The temptation may be for UCaaS providers to go after the Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams opportunity with a broad brush set of features and marketing messages," says Denise Lund, research director, Telecom and Unified Communications at IDC. "The reality is that this is not an efficient approach to gaining a foothold inside the Teams experience.
