This IDC Survey highlights the results of IDC's 2021 U.S. Commercial Augmented Reality Survey.
The presents research based on a survey of IT decision makers representing a wide range of industries and company sizes. We asked adopters about their current use and plans around the technology, the hardware and software they use, and the benefits derived. We also captured feedback from future intenders as well as resistors.
"Commercial adoption of augmented reality (AR) continues to grow," said Tom Mainelli, group vice president of IDC's Device and Consumer research. "Many of the companies currently utilizing AR technology do so in the form of see-what-I-see videoconferencing, but we're seeing adoption across a wider range of use cases accelerate as these organizations grow more comfortable with the technology."
