This growth was driven by businesses' needs to support new ways of working while also needing to deliver more digital goods and services to customers than ever before," said Andrew Smith, research manager, Cloud Infrastructure Services at IDC. "Over the past 12 months, we also observed an important strategic shift among leading public cloud IaaS providers, which continue to develop a range of dedicated and hybrid cloud deployment options in order to meet enterprise demand for high performance, and distributed edge use cases."
