Abstract

This IDC Perspective discusses the recent marketing campaign from Facebook to encourage U.S. regulatory bodies to bring internet regulations up to date. The lack of regulatory updates since 1996 has placed Facebook in a unique situation of being the connecting platform and the information distributor and given it the challenging goal of being a trusted provider of both.
